Terms and Conditions: Briar de Wolfe

These terms ensure that our partnership remains clear, transparent, and focused on the highest standards of craftsmanship. By placing an order or initiating a commission, you agree to the following policies.

1. Custom Commissions (Bespoke Work)

  • Project Retainer: A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your place in our production queue and begin the hand carved, CAD architectural modeling phase.

  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due in full upon completion. Pieces must be cleared for payment prior to shipping or scheduled studio pickup.

  • Design Approval: Production begins only after your written approval of the final digital render or CAD blueprint. Once approved, any further design changes may incur "Change Order" fees to account for redesign and remolding labor.

  • Final Sale: Custom-designed jewelry is crafted to your individual specifications and is Final Sale. Returns or exchanges are not permitted.

2. General Orders & Payments

  • Payment Methods: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, and PayPal.

  • Order Fulfillment: Full payment is required prior to fulfillment. Due to the individualized nature of our made-to-order process, we are unable to cancel orders once they have been placed.

  • Transaction Security: Your payment information is processed through secure, encrypted gateways to ensure your data remains private.

3. Precious Metal Market Volatility

  • Quote Validity: Due to the 2026 market climate, custom quotes are valid for 7 business days. If the retainer is not received within this window, the price may be adjusted to reflect current metal spot rates.

  • Pricing Accuracy: We reserve the right to correct inaccuracies regarding solid gold pricing due to real-time market fluctuations, even after an order has been confirmed. In rare instances of significant mispricing, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.

4. Shipping, Insurance & Logistics

  • Secure Transit: All shipments for bespoke work are dispatched via Expedited Canada Post FedEx or UPS with mandatory Signature on Delivery.

  • Full-Value Insurance: Your piece is insured for its full appraised value during transit.

  • Recipient Responsibility: Briar de Wolfe is not liable for loss or theft once a package has been successfully delivered and signed for at the designated address.

5. Warranty & Professional Care

  • Craftsmanship Guarantee: We provide a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.

  • Warranty Exclusions: This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or unauthorized third-party alterations (e.g., resizing or repairs by another jeweler), which will void the warranty.

  • Durability Disclaimer: Structural integrity is paramount. Custom designs that explicitly contradict our professional advice (e.g., requested band widths below 1.8mm) are excluded from this standard warranty.

6. Intellectual Property & Artistry

  • Ownership: Briar de Wolfe retains all intellectual property rights to custom designs and any derivative works.

  • Promotion: We reserve the right to photograph and display finished pieces for promotional purposes unless a private nondisclosure is agreed upon in writing prior to the project start.

7. Privacy Policy

  • Data Collection: We collect information only as needed to process your transactions or shared via newsletter subscription.

  • Usage: Your data is used to personalize your experience and improve our service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
