Octagon De-escalation Anchor: 8-Vertex Sensory Sedative
Architecture for the Nervous System.
A physical intervention for high-anxiety states and sleep onset. The Octagon Anchor is the advanced structural tool of the Breathwork Series, designed with an eight-vertex architecture to pace the 4-7-8 Breathing Technique. Hand-calibrated in our Toronto atelier to lower heart rate through high-frequency tactile feedback.
Tactile Protocol
-
The 4-7-8 Calibration: Use the eight vertices to pace the long, parasympathetic exhalation required to signal safety to the brain. Trace 4 points for the Inhale, 7 points for the Hold, and the full 8-point circumference for the Exhale.
-
Rolling Sensory Feedback: The 135° angles create a smoother, "rolling" tactile sensation compared to lower-vertex styles, ideal for de-escalating sensory overload and "coding" a state of deep physiological calm.
Sensory Calibration (Width)
-
2mm–4mm: Subtle and discreet. A hidden high-frequency tactile wire for precision de-escalation.
-
6mm–10mm: High-mass grounding. The increased weight provides significant proprioceptive input to the finger, acting as a "weighted blanket" for the nervous system.
